- Description & Application: Primary washing equipment. The hopper is filled with saturated brine; the screw turns the salt over so that the raw salt rubs and collides with itself and mixes thoroughly with the brine, washing off most surface impurities. Spray nozzles at the top continuously add fresh saturated brine, and floating impurities are discharged from the outlet.
